Why not just use our own electrician?  
We have been in the Home Automation field for around 15 years and although Craig is a fully registered electrician and therefore can incorporate security systems, this is a very different industry than electrical.   Would you choose a builder to design and build your kitchen – or a specialised kitchen maker? The specific brands of hardware that we use can’t be sourced by electricians – the importer doesn’t feel the electricians have the level of training needed for this.  The level of product that an electrician therefore uses is very different to ours.
 
What if our budget runs out and we can no longer afford to put the system in?
Unfortunately this often happens when building a home.  The main thing is to get all the cables run correctly at the beginning of the project.  This is fairly inexpensive and will “future-proof” your home.  The beauty of our system is that it allows the purchaser to add-on as, and when, the budget allows.
 
Can we provide our own audio / video equipment?
Absolutely, and in many cases we suggest this.  However, for ease of operation some types of equipment have discreet codes / better outputs, etc. that make it more desirable for the owner to purchase.   We will make suggestions on the type / brand we prefer but you will be able to make your own decisions and purchase this gear directly from your preferred suppliers.
